I'm not sure, but I don't think it's exposed in the UI yet.

I see, I'm not sure if gnome-screensaver really needs GTK 2.10,
otherwise you could simply recompile it with GTK 2.8 (the version in
testing/unstable). 

I suggest you contact upstream directly and see if they have any ideas.
Describe your problems in a comment to the Bugzilla bug, 
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374829 or simply link to the
Debian bug.
