Package: hal Version: 0.5.8.1-6 Severity: important Automounting DVDs seems to be broken in HAL 0.5.8 and newer. I can not mount any DVD (Video, Data). This bug is not only Debian specific, i seen it also on all other distros using hal 0.5.8 or newer. I downgraded to hal 0.5.7.1 and it works.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Insert any kind of DVD Result: KDE: Nothing Happens (No mount, etc.) GNOME: Disk gets mounted, but disappears from computer:/// and it is not possible to unmount it. Expected: DVD gets mounted, Data DVDs get opened in File browser, Video DVDs get played. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (450, 'testing'), (300, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
