Mmmmmmm maybe update-iceape-chrome should try to recreate the link to /usr/share/iceape/chrome if /usr/lib/iceape/chrome is empty after update-iceape-chrome does its cleaning... Could you send your /var/log/dpkg.log (and rotated logs if that applies) so that I can see the succession of packages installation that lead to this situation ?
