Hey Paul,

The machine was really frozen, but now i changed the graphics
controller, and mixxx doesn't freeze the system any more. I don't know
whether it was the hardware (Matrox G400 DH) or whether the xorg mga
driver is broken, but at least now with a geforce 4 TI and the
proprietary nvidia x-driver it doesn't freeze any longer.

Do you think that the bug should be kept open then? Maybe just rename it
to 'improve the graphic rendering' and downgrade severity to wishlist?

This finally was the point where i got that something needs to be wrong
with my hardware/xdriver. Every single application with 3d acceleration
froze my system.

btw: Do you already work on debian packages for mixxx 1.5.0?
