I reported a pretty similar bug in Ubuntu: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sound-juicer/+bug/82955
Apparently sound-juicer doesn't check for permission when ripping a CD. In this case it was to a remote location that needed to be unlocked by the GNOME keyring.
