Same problem. At the terminal, we can see:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# foomatic-gui
lpadmin: Printer name can only contain printable characters!
Could not set up/change the queue "EPSON Stylus C67"!
Reloading Common Unix Printing System: cupsd.

It "knows" this happens, but does nothing at all.
