First, sorry for writing snd-midi-seq. It actually is snd-seq-midi.
OK, I did what you said. BEFORE I plug in the USB midi device, "lsmod | grep midi" returns nothing. AFTER I plug in the USB midi device, "lsmod | grep midi" returns this: snd_rawmidi 22560 1 snd_usb_lib snd_seq_device 7820 1 snd_rawmidi snd 47012 10 snd_usb_audio,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_device,snd_hwdep,snd_intel8x0,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm_oss,snd_mixer_oss,snd_pcm,snd_timer Still, I have to "modprobe snd-seq-midi" it to have real access to my midi piano. Finally, the "# echo snd-midi-seq >> /etc/modules" hack worked fine. Had to temporarily remove it to do the "lsmod | grep midi" thing you asked me to do. Thanks for being there for me. ____________________ Eduard __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? En finir avec le spam? Yahoo!
