I've no issue with restarting LCDd during upgrades/re-installations.

I only point out the current driver binding issue as LCDd starts and
promptly exits after package installation, which could be confusing to
users.

Especially if only the 'Driver=' parameter and relevant driver section
are changed shortly after (their requested driver still wouldn't load).
