Hi, I can try and have a look at the oops, however the 'RED State Exception' error is usually a pretty definite sign of some kind of hardware trouble. You might try removing different memory modules to see if that would help. I'll send a message to debian-sparc to see whether anyone else experiences similar problems on a v440.
