no, init script is for the 'Unix System V' init.

the way to start the daemon manually is to use the binary in /usr/bin
and run it with the option you need.

I agree that a common way is to use the init script to start/stop the
daemon.

To simplify the manual usage of the daemon, it will be possible to
have an ffproxyctl to start or stop the daemon.

That's why i was thinking that the 'force-start' option will be a good
compromise.

Another problem with your proposal, is that there is no good way to
detect the runlevel where the script is launched, ugly hacks are
possible but they are not enought acceptable for me (IMHO).
