Okay, but I wonder where eth0 went. Does you computer have a FireWire interface? ( FireWire is also known as IEEE 1394 ) > Maybe you could mention that interface parameter > somewhere(if you havent) because I have read > threads where people thought their nic was not compatible, > maybe they just needed that info. You have encountered a hardware detection problem that has not yet reported before. (other installs don't need the interface= parameter) Was this the first Linux install on this new hardware? How went the other Linux installs? Cheers Geert Stappers -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
