How does it fail? In the log, I see only your pressing of Ctrl-C. Please
do the same with " gracetime=20 -vvv -VVV " parameters inside of a
script(1) session and show that log.

Perhaps. Or maybe with your medium? Check the list of compatible speeds
with dvd+rw-mediainfo please, and tell us the result.
