I have seen a similar behaviour with mp3 files ending in .mp3.mpa after downloading. But today I am unable to download any file to a FAT formatted USB stick. The files are touched (zero length) but nothing more is happening, they are not even listed in 'Downloads'. Saving to ext3 is no problem at all. Just to be sure, I run version 2.0.0.1+dfsg-2.
