I've tried to reproduce this probem but to no avail. I've also taken a thorough look at the code, where I expect some endless loop, but I can't locate the problem. The code is indeed not very nice, but I won't change that in the stable branch. If you are familiar with programming, you might want to look into it yourself (/usr/share/squirrelmail/src/functions.php). Because the problem occurs at your system, maybe you can succeed in finding where it goes wrong. Otherwise, I have no solution to this.
