Hi Chris, as /etc/devfs/conf.d/apm is a conffile, it is not automatically removed on upgrades. I don't want to argue if this is a deficiency in dpkg or not, but iirc you have to do that in a postinst maintainer script (checking if the prefviously installed version is < 1.25 and if so rm this file).
