After I installed debian sarge sarge-i386-netinst.iso
I used some weeks to try out everything,
before I attemped to print, the printer did not complain,
but when I took an adobe acrobat pdf file,
which is ok, prints fine under suse linux,
then the laserjet (without Post Script Modules)
womitted paper.
after rebooting and verifying that the printer prints fine and is still alive,
starting debian sarge testing again invoked the printer to continually eject paper.
one of them has xpdf / pdftops 3.00
All I could do was turning of the main printer switch.
I remember during the installation that the printer was correctly identified.
