Moi! I'd like to keep the ability to upload etch-targetted fixes through unstable during the freeze, and clearly the changelog of 0.62/0.63 is too large to think about pushing it into etch. Therefore, a new upstream version will only make unstable once etch is released. If there's enough demand, I might consider an upload to experimental, though.
