Package: xen-tools Followup-For: Bug #401206 the proposed patch modifies a conffile, so would require no longer maintaining /etc/xen-tools/xen-tools.conf as a conffile in order to avoid a policy violation (10.7.4):
The maintainer scripts must not alter a `conffile' of _any_ package, including the one the scripts belong to. that said, i think it would be worth maintaining it as a non-conffile, as the kernel version is almost always going to change. an alternate approach would be to maintain symlinks in /boot for the appropriate kernel, much like linux-image packages do for the /boot/vmlinuz and /boot/initrd.img symlinks. something like /boot/vmlinuz-xen and /boot/initrg.img-xen ... this would allow the configuration file to ship with a sane default and remain a conffile. live well, vagrant -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
