Package: php4-mysql
Version: 4:4.3.10-10
Followup-For: Bug #299608

We experience the same problem here, using phpmyadmin (which calls
mysql_fetch_field() in phpmyadmin/libraries/dbi/mysql.dbi.lib.php)

4.3.10-10 did not help.
