I killed all instances of knetworkmanager, restarted one new instance of your test1 package, did KMenu -> Save Session, logged out/in, and now everything works fine. Feels indeed like something was left over from the session management of an earlier version. I consider this bug fixed. Thanks a lot for your quick help!
