Having read through that bug's numerous GDB logs, I notice that several basic Gaim libraries fail to load at start-up, as well as a number of problems related to Gstreamer. Thus I would suggest purging then reinstalling gaim and gaim-data. > The only gaim plugin that I have activated is gaim-irchelper.
