In gnome-cups-manager I selected: Manufacturer: HP, Model: Laserjet 5 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.0.0, Driver: Standard (Suggested)[there are no other drivers available to select] The attached file shows a reboot an an attempted print out of a test page with gnome-cups-manager and then the same with foomatic-gui. I have an ´HP LaserJet 5´ connected to the parallel port which works fine with ubuntu 6.10.
