There is indeed no handbook available for Fyrdman at the moment. In fact, none of the GGZ games except for Mühle have documentation included. GGZ 0.0.14 comes with a game documentation listing which will encourage more documentation. Basically, Fyrdman works by just moving the soldier of your colour towards the opponent, and by placing it on an enemy soldier, the enemy gets killed.
