the Jetty start script /etc/init.d/jetty didn't find the Sun Java SDK and used kaffe instead, which broke a Cocoon webapp for me: org.w3c.dom.DOMException: NOT_SUPPORTED_ERR: The implementation does not support the requested type of object or operation. at org.apache.xerces.dom.CoreDOMImplementationImpl.createLSParser (source file unknown) at gnu.xml.dom.DomDocumentBuilderFactory.newDocumentBuilder (DomDocumentBuilderFactory.java:87) at org.apache.excalibur.xml.impl.JaxpParser.setupDocumentBuilder (JaxpParser.java:416) It seems the Sun Java SDKs were moved from /usr/lib to /usr/lib/jvm (and their names were also changed in the process).
