Package: burn
Version: 0.4.3-2.1
Severity: normal

Initially, when I attempted to burn an iso to disk, it stated that I was
not root, asking if I wished to proceed. I have tried this program as
both root, and a regular user, and get the same errors. Below, find a
transcript of the error I received:
It gave me the following printout of an error when I tried using it to
burn an iso image to disk:
Iso-CD...

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/burn", line 1164, in ?
    main()
  File "/usr/bin/burn", line 903, in main
    if exists(options.iso_name):
  File "/usr/lib/python2.4/posixpath.py", line 171, in exists
    st = os.stat(path)
TypeError: coercing to Unicode: need string or buffer, NoneType found

I'm assuming that this program not working qualifies as a "serious"
error, but I'm not sure.

Whenever I file a bug, I get feedback that
I've not filed properly. Does Debian really want to hear from its
users? From my experience, it seems Debian makes it very difficult to
file bugs. Holy anally retentive, Batman! Anyway, hopefully this bug
report is acceptable. Otherwise, I'll just assume that Debian really
does not wish to hear from its users, and the whole "We will not hide
problems" section of the social contract is a myth.

Having said that, I'll now thank all the developers for their hard work.
Nonetheless, I stand by my assertion that filing bugs with Debian seems
to be made more difficult than it need be (as if you're intentionally
putting up red tape to avoid hearing about bugs).
