Package: python-libsvm
Version: 2.82.0-3
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

the package installs the common SVM-README into
/usr/share/doc/python-libsvm/README.gz. I would be nice if the python
README would be installed instead (python/README in the source package).
It is a little confusing that this file is missing, because the
installed README refers to it.

Additionally please consider installing the two python examples
svm_test.py and test_cross_validation.py (including
cross_validation.py). This would make it much easier to start working
without having to search for additional docs on the web or needing to get the
source package.

Perhaps one more thought: I might make sense to remove the README from
the library package (libsvm2) completely. People that only have this package
installed are unlikely to need it anyway. Developers using libsvm will
need the dev package as well and users will install at least libsvm-tools.

Thanks,

Michael
