Package: samba Version: 3.0.23d-2+b1 Severity: important
I'm getting regular corruption of the tdbs (and the associated panics) in my logs. I stop the daemons, clear out /var/run/samba and restart, but this always happens fairly soon. Here's a snippet: [2007/01/01 16:18:03, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/locking.tdb): remove_from_freelist: not on list at off=93924 [2007/01/01 16:18:03, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/locking.tdb): tdb_free: right free failed at 93924 [2007/01/01 16:43:00, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/locking.tdb): remove_from_freelist: not on list at off=164496 [2007/01/01 16:43:00, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/locking.tdb): tdb_free: right free failed at 164496 [2007/01/01 16:49:54, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/connections.tdb): rec_free_read non-free magic 0x26011999 at offset=6312 - fixing [2007/01/01 16:49:54, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/connections.tdb): remove_from_freelist: not on list at off=6936 [2007/01/01 16:49:54, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/connections.tdb): tdb_free: right free failed at 6936 [2007/01/01 16:50:24, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/connections.tdb): remove_from_freelist: not on list at off=19424 ...and from one of my other workstation's logs: [2007/01/01 16:48:01, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/locking.tdb): rec_read bad magic 0xd9fee666 at offset=169464 [2007/01/01 16:48:01, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/locking.tdb): rec_read bad magic 0xd9fee666 at offset=169464 [2007/01/01 16:48:01, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/locking.tdb): rec_read bad magic 0xd9fee666 at offset=169464 [2007/01/01 16:48:01, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/locking.tdb): rec_read bad magic 0xd9fee666 at offset=169464 [2007/01/01 17:03:47, 0] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(783) tdb(/var/run/samba/locking.tdb): remove_from_freelist: not on list at off=115660 Let me know if you need anything else.
