Hi,

on a machine with 2 e1000 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, mii-diag reports a
100Mb/s speed:

The autonegotiated media type is 100baseTx-FD.

   End of basic transceiver information.


whereas the kernel (and the Ethernet switch) report a 1Gb/s speed:
