Package: gnome-core Version: 1:2.14.3.3 Severity: normal
I install my own version of lyx rather than debian's version. To get it on my gnome-panel toolbar, I therefore have to create a custom application launcher for it. Rather than use one of the standard icons presented by the launcher creation tool, I click "browse" and then go to the directory in /usr/local/share/lyx/images where various lyx icons are stored. When I do this, all of the choices of icons in the menu are "grayed out", and I cannot select any one of them. In this particular case the icons in question have .ppm and .xpm formats. A workaround is to not use the file browser and just type in the path to the icon in question. This works fine. The problem isn't isolated to lyx -- similar behavior occurs with a non-debian version of open office. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.8 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages gnome-core depends on: ii bug-buddy 2.14.0-1 GNOME Desktop Environment bug repo ii eog 2.16.2-1 Eye of Gnome graphics viewer progr ii gedit 2.14.4-4 official text editor of the GNOME ii gnome-applets 2.14.3-3 Various applets for GNOME 2 panel ii gnome-control-center 1:2.14.2-6 utilities to configure the GNOME d ii gnome-icon-theme 2.14.2-2 GNOME Desktop icon theme ii gnome-menus 2.16.0-2 an implementation of the freedeskt ii gnome-panel 2.14.3-3 launcher and docking facility for ii gnome-session 2.14.3-3 The GNOME 2 Session Manager ii gnome-terminal 2.14.2-1 The GNOME 2 terminal emulator appl ii metacity 1:2.14.5-2 A lightweight GTK2 based Window Ma ii nautilus 2.14.3-6 file manager and graphical shell f ii scrollkeeper 0.3.14-11 A free electronic cataloging syste ii yelp 2.14.3-1 Help browser for GNOME 2 gnome-core recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
