Package: nvidia-glx-legacy Version: 1.0.7184-3 Severity: normal
I have upgraded a graphics card in my computer (Riva TNT to Geforce 5500), and therefore installed nvidia-glx 1.0.8776-3. Of course, this package conflicts with the previously installed nvidia-glx-legacy 1.0.7184-3, and thus the latter was DELETED by aptitude. After restart, the x-server did not start (blank screen with blinking cursor in the upper-left corner of the screen). I suspect some starting scripts of nvidia-glx-legacy to introduce this error. After PURGING nvidia-glx-legacy, x-server behaves normally.
