Package: inetutils-inetd Version: 2:1.5.dfsg.1-2 Severity: normal Hello,
in the process of setting up dhcp3 + tftpd-hpa [1] to install Debian etch via netboot (as explained at [2]), I got in touch with something I consider a bug in inetutils-inetd. The PXE client could obtain the address from the dhcp3 client, but trying to connect to the tftpd, it shows the message "PXE-E32: TFTP open timeout". On the server syslog, I've the following error: in.tftpd[15638]: received address was not AF_INET, please check your inetd config inetd[15633]: /usr/sbin/in.tftpd: exit status 0x4c00 FYI, I tried the same dhcp3 + tftpd-hpa configuration with openbsd-inetd and it works out-of-the-box. Moreover, if I stop inetd and then I start tftpd-hpa as a daemon, the netboot continues without any problem.
