This one can and shall be hidden.

But this one is problematic. Existing frontends use it for interaction.

IMO it was from the beginning an utterly stupid idea to use stdin for
such information. Even doing this way it should have been tagged somehow
to avoid problems.

Therefore I added an option called -msifile=filename to store the data
reliably in a dedicated file.

Is this acceptable for your needs?
