Package: dokuwiki Version: 0.0.20061106-1 Severity: normal The install.php utility will not work out of the box. It first complains about not having write permissions: "/usr/share/dokuwiki/conf/ is not writable by DokuWiki" Then if I change the permissions: "chown -R www-data /usr/share/dokuwiki/conf/" it complains that it will not work because the checksum of the dokuwiki.php file has changed. If I edit the install.php file and insert the new checksum value it then will complain that the following files already exist: acl.auth.php users.auth.php
After renaming those files to *.bak it continues and works properly. The issue of not having write permissions to the directory or files in /usr/share/dokuwiki/conf/ (/etc/dokuwiki) seems to me to affect more that just the install.php file. Should't the default rights on the conf directory and files be www-data:root?
