Package: openssl Version: 0.9.7e-3sarge4 Severity: normal Hi, I had the following problem with a Grsecurity/SELinux Kernel and lots of important programms like apache2, racoon, hostapd. They always died with: "error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.0.9.7: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Permission denied"
After 5 mins of googleing, I found a "good" solution here: http://www.mail-archive.com/openssl-dev%40openssl.org/msg20467.html (just add "-Wa,--noexecstack" to the $ASFLAGS) So, can someone add them to the debian/rules file in the next release? ;) Thanks, Chr. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers sarge APT policy: (500, 'sarge') Architecture: i386 Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.19 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages openssl depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-9 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3sarge4 SSL shared libraries ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime openssl recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
