Package: dar Version: 2.3.2-1 Severity: wishlist Hi,
I wish that the supporting files for dar that allow dar's built-in Parchive creation are packed with the dar package, not dar-docs. In the RH rpm distribution, they are: /usr/share/dar/dar_par.dcf /usr/share/dar/dar_par_create.duc /usr/share/dar/dar_par_test.duc I wish that they can be there too in Debian as well, so that I can use the dar's built-in Parchive creation by default, without hacking them of my own, and maintain consistency between Debian and RH. I wish I don't need to install the dar-docs package since - most of the content are for dar internal docs, which I don't care - almost all of the content on dar usage I've known already. thanks -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (600, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-grml Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages dar depends on: ii libattr1 2.4.32-1 Extended attribute shared library ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.3-6 high-quality block-sorting file co ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdar64-4 2.3.0-5 Disk ARchive: Shared library ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-13 GCC support library ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8c-1 SSL shared libraries ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-13 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
