I noticed that when pressing <enter> seral times (4 times precicely) it does boot
so the things that need to be done for the 2.4 disks are:
setting the root to /dev/fd0 in silo.conf (or some other fix) and making it so only one <enter> is enough and not 4

at this moment the installer is running
I got my partitions setup and now it is downloading and installing the base system
