Package: mingw32 Version: 3.4.5.20060117.1.dfsg-1 Severity: normal Every day cron sends a report about dangling symlinks in mingw32 (only since updgrade from previous version, FWIW): /usr/share/man/man1/ i586-mingw32msvc-c++.1.gz -> i586-mingw32msvc-g++.1.gz i586-mingw32msvc-cc.1.gz -> i586-mingw32msvc-gcc.1.gz i586-mingw32msvc-cpp.1.gz -> cpp.1.gz i586-mingw32msvc-gcc-3.4.5.1.gz -> i586-mingw32msvc-gcc.1.gz i586-mingw32msvc-gcov.1.gz -> gcov.1.gz
gcov is not installed on my system, so it should not make the link. cpp is installed (4.1) but apparently misses a man page ! 3 others are intra-package dangling links, so should be corrected. More generally, the package should provide its own copy of man pages, because when you link to "cpp" or "gcov" you don't know which version you get (several are provided in testing), and bets are you won't get the one that matches mingw32's. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-3-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages mingw32 depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii mingw32-binutils 2.16.91-20060119.1-1 Minimalist GNU win32 (cross) binut ii mingw32-runtime 3.9-4 Minimalist GNU win32 (cross) runti mingw32 recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- Hope this helps, Fabien. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
