I think I know the reason, but just to be sure I'd like to get your configuration structure to verify. Do you still have the old 7.4 cluster around or did you delete it already? It would be very helpful for me if you could tar up /etc/postgresql/ and send it to me (I don't need the actual databases in /var/lib/postgresql). > BTW: I would probably be a good idea to give a starting hint in > README.Debian on how the upgrade works.
