Package: ffmpeg Version: 0.cvs20060823-4 Severity: normal hi Sam
this bug is just a placeholder to ask you (again) to update ffmpeg (after Etch release): I really need a newer version, to address bug 395252 Some time ago, I packed a version 0.svn6767-2 of ffmpeg (it is in http://tonelli.sns.it/pub/mplayer/experimental-shared/ ) ; I then linked it with mplayer and libxine1, and I have been using it since then, and it works fine (I tested it thru totem-xine). There may be issues in ARM compiling (I guess so by reading your changelog, and since your ARM patch does not apply); if you wish, we may also upload my work in experimental now, to start working on the builds ; and btw, experimental contains a newer libxine, so we may then start linking the newer ffmpeg , mplayer, libxine ... all together see you a. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-3-k7 Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages ffmpeg depends on: ii libavcodec0d 0.svn6767-2 ffmpeg codec library ii libavformat0d 0.svn6767-2 ffmpeg file format library ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-8 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdc1394-13 1.1.0-3+b1 high level programming interface f ii libfreetype6 2.2.1-5 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libgsm1 1.0.10-13 Shared libraries for GSM speech co ii libimlib2 1.3.0.0debian1-4 powerful image loading and renderi ii libogg0 1.1.3-2 Ogg Bitstream Library ii libraw1394-8 1.2.1-2 library for direct access to IEEE ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.11-7 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii libvorbis0a 1.1.2.dfsg-1.2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii libvorbisenc2 1.1.2.dfsg-1.2 The Vorbis General Audio Compressi ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3-13 compression library - runtime ffmpeg recommends no packages. -- Andrea Mennucc "E' un mondo difficile.
