Hi, I've tried using smart-remove on the image you gave me with radius 1000, 100, 50, 10, 7, and square, elliptic, and freeform selection methods, but I'm unable to reproduce the corrupted image you cited. The binary I'm using is also compiled in pbuilder, against gimp libraries in sid. The test results were at http://etc.uguu.us/test-resynth.xcf, sorry. I'm going to see about getting a binary of 0.14-2 into unstable; if the problem still occurs with that binary then please file a new bug (to keep this bug about the deprecation warnings tidy) about it and I'll look into it further.
