Not on this system (my home machine). I originally installed it as part of trying to configure a scanner I got cheap, but could not get the scanner to work with Linux.
What scanner do you use, if any ?
None. I may have attempted to configure the scanner above, before giving up, but I now cannot remember what I did. Any suggestions on what config files to check here?
When I start up xsane it hangs on "scanning for devices".
Does moving away your ~/.sane help ?
