Package: ntop Version: 3.2-7 When starting ntop, it does not daemonize correctly: the stderr file handle is not released. When started in an interactive session, its file handle "2" still points to the current tty. Logging out from an ssh session is not possible without killing the session forcibly; after that, ntop's diagnostic messages will go nowhere.
