Package: postfix
Version: 2.1.5-9mf1
Severity: normal

I am trying to use SMTP authentication for relaying mail to my ISP.
The actual SASL authentication works fine but the mail is refused due to the
option AUTH=<> that is appended by postfix to the envelope MAIL FROM
entry.
Patching postfix (in smtp/smtp_proto.c) to remove the AUTH= option or to
complete it with the
same address as the sender fixes the problem.

It would be nice to have a configuration option to do this cleanly.

Regards,

Martin
