Dear Sjoerd, udev creates a /dev/sda, /dev/sda1 nodes and my my local rule also a /dev/usbkey and /dev/usbkey1 symlinks but they do not get mounted automatically.
/etc/fstab contains the lines
/dev/sda1 /backup vfat rw,user,gid=1000,uid=1000,noauto 0 0
/dev/usbkey1 /media/usbkey vfat rw,user,gid=1000,uid=1000,noauto 0 0
which enable manual mounting without problems.
usbkey also does not get mounted if inserted before booting. must always mount manually.
Please feel free to ask for any further data to understand if it's my fault (some misconfiguration) or a buggy
