Yes, of course, others are stupid and evil because they play with my
toys without me, nya, nya. I assume this is the reason for "defects"
because you have not told us one.
To "operator": I just realized that you are still using kernel 2.4.x but
without the ide-scsi emulation. This is not the recommended way. Please
configure ide-scsi as described in README.ATAPI and retry with that
setup.
