Package: perl-tk Version: 1:804.027-7 Severity: important When running perl programs using perl-tk, I constantly but not quite reproducible crashes from glibc: *** glibc detected *** malloc(): memory corruption: 0x0827d724 ***
The address changes frequently. From googling a little, I found that perl-tk still contains many (?) memory leaks for versions 804. I switched back to 800.025-2 from stable as that works fine. The main app I used works fine with 800.025-2 but crashes with 804.027 before painting anything in the screen. The app is 'pilotManager' to sync Palm pilot with pilot-link. I consider perl-tk unusable in this state until this is fixed. I have no means to debug it further for investigations, but I am willing to test a new package when someone fixed the memory leaks. Thanks for the good work!
