I'm fine with that, because anyway I locally applied the fix :-)

Tested on just-updated and clean pbuilder:

1) "M-x TeX-mode" works
2) "M-x LaTeX-mode" doesn't work, in the minibuffer there's the error
message "Symbol's value as variable is void: tool-bar-mode"
3) "C-x C-f /usr/share/emacs/22.0.91/etc/refcard.tex" opens the file
without any error but in fundamental-mode, while after having
applied the patch it's opened in LaTeX-mode

Well, AFAIK auctex is completely unusable on emacs-snapshot, thus
severity important, but feel free to lower it.

Thx, bye,
