Package: grip Version: 3.3.1-11 Severity: important Hi, this is the first time I use grip on this machine, so I cannot tell you if grip used to work on any previous version.
I ran grip (many times) on two different audio CD and I always got a crash. Crash means that the machine was blocked: no mouse movements, no audio, no keyboard, no ssh access from the net, every application stopped. I had to poweroff the machine, since even control-alt-f1 didn't work. What I was doing. I just inserted a CD, pressed 'estrai e codifica' (extract and encode) from the 'estrazione' (extract) tab. Then the first track extraction was probably attempted but the CD-ROM did not blink at all, while the progress bar kept at the starting poit. The text at the left of the progress bar changed from 'waiting' to something like '(x,y)' where x was a negative and decreasing number. When x was about -170 then the machine crashed. This is a DELL laptop, model LATITUDE D820, with Core Duo running at 2.16Mhz and 2Gb of RAM. The operating system is Debian 4.0 "etch" updated today while installing grip.
