Many thanks for reporting this. Especially that it depends on the locale.
This will probably explain why I wasn't able to reproduce #299500.
Mathieu, can you confirm that lincvs starts fine for you as well if you
start it with `LANG=en lincvs' ?
I can reproduce the error here and will forward this to upstream.
