Package: mplayer
Version: 1.0~rc1-4
Severity: wishlist

When the mplayer package is installed, it comes with a gargantuan man
page. This man page, besides heavily documenting mplayer itself, also
documents mencoder. But mencoder is a separate package and is probably
not installed. So in other words, mplayer installs a large amount of
documentation for a program that isn't there! (This rather surprised
me when I tried to use mencoder - I had assumed that because its
documentation was there, it would be too).

Anyway, the mencoder man page should be factored out of the mplayer
man page because it is less confusing and makes for more tractable man
pages.
